Data Protection Declaration
Data Protection Declaration concerning our social media pages
In the following pages we would like to inform you about how we handle your data in compliance with Article 13 of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Responsibility
At GCD Glomb Container Dienst GmbH, Nevadastr. 2-4, 27580 Bremerhaven, we operate the following Social Media website pages:
www.facebook.com/GCD-Glomb-Container-Dienst-GmbH-183567645002911/
Our contact details can be found in our Imprint: www.glomb.com/impressum/
Besides ourselves, there is also the actual operator of the social media platform. This operator also carries responsibility as a data processor over whom we only have limited influence. In those instances where we have an influence and are able to parametrize the data processing, we do all in our power to ensure the compliant handling of personal data by the operator of the social media platform within the available framework. In many cases, however, we are not in a position to influence the data processing by the operator of the social media platform nor do we know exactly what data it processes.
Data processing by us
The data you enter on our social media sites, such as comments, videos, images, likes, public messages, etc., are published by the social media platform and never used or processed for other purposes by us. We only reserve the right to delete content should this becomes necessary. We may also share your content on our pages, if it is a function of the social media platform, and will communicate with you via the social media platform. This is in compliance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1, lit. f GDPR. Data processing is conducted in the interests of our public relations and communication activities.
Should you wish to object to the processing of certain data, over which we have influence, please refer to the contact details provided in the Imprint. We will then review your objection.
If you submit an inquiry on the social media platform, depending on the response required we may also refer to other safe communication channels with privacy guaranteed. You always have the option of sending us confidential inquiries using the contact details mentioned in the Imprint.
As already mentioned, wherever the social media platform provider allows it, we take care to ensure the maximum compliance of our social media sites. For this reason, we explicitly refrain from using any demographic or location-based target-group definitions for marketing provided by the operator of the social media platform. However we only have limited influence on the statistics provided by the operator of the social media platform, nor are we able to switch them off. But we ensure that we are not provided with any additional, optional statistics.
Data processing by the operator of the social media platform
The operator of the social media platform uses web tracking methods. Web tracking can occur irrespective of whether the user is logged in or registered with the social media platform. As already mentioned, we, unfortunately, are hardly able to influence the web tracking methods of the social media platform. For example, we are not able to deactivate this feature.
Please be aware that we cannot eliminate the possibility that the provider of the social media platform uses your profile and behavioural data to assess your habits, personal relationships, preferences, etc. Against this background, we have no influence on the processing of your data by the provider of the social media platform.
More detailed information on the data processing as conducted by the provider of the social media platform and additional ways of raising objections can be found in the provider’s privacy policy:
