CHINA-RAIL ON-/PRE-CARRIAGE (NEW SILK ROAD)

Railway links between China and Europe (the New Silk Road) are rapidly becoming more and more important as a reasonably-priced and flexible alternative to sea and air freight. The container block trains from China can now reach many European terminals, for example in Poland (Malaszewicze, Warsaw, Lodz and Posen), in the Czech Republic (Prague), in Hungary (Budapest) and in Germany (Hamburg, Duisburg and Nuremberg).

Our trucks can provide to and from all these terminals fast and reliable pre- and on-carriage services to and from all European locations and destinations. In this respect, special mention must be made of our haulage links to and from the Malaszewicze terminal in Poland. Due to the different railway gauges, cargo has to be re-loaded here and it is also the first direct truck interface in the EU.

Using the terminal in Malaszewicze allows us to greatly reduce transit time when handling time-critical consignments on the final European leg.
