Maintenance & Safety

At GLOMB, maintenance and operational planning are managed under one roof. Servicing, as well as tyre and brake management, are centrally controlled, with intervals planned in advance and downtime reduced to a minimum. Every tractor unit and semi-trailer has a digital service history, ensuring our fleet remains ready for deployment at all times.

All vehicles and equipment are regularly inspected and documented. ADR equipment, load securing devices, gensets and TRS systems are checked in accordance with manufacturer specifications and DGUV guidelines. Inspections such as MOT, SP, UVV and ADR are fully recorded and can be viewed on request.

Our driving staff also contribute to safety. Regular briefings, as well as ECO and safety training, ensure quality in day-to-day operations. Load securing is carried out in accordance with VDI 2700; for specialised equipment such as side-loaders, reefers, tipper chassis and heavy-duty systems, practical briefings with documented training are provided.

Frequently asked questions about the fleet & technology

How is GLOMB’s fleet structured?

Our fleet consists of modern tractor units with various axle configurations, as well as a wide selection of container chassis and specialised semi-trailers. These include multi-chassis, rigid chassis, lightweight variants and special chassis for reefers, side-loaders, tipper chassis and damaged containers. This enables us to cover a wide range of transport requirements, from standard containers to heavy-duty assignments, as well as waste and ADR transport, using our own equipment.

What advantages do customers gain from GLOMB’s own fleet?

Having our own fleet means direct control, rapid responsiveness and high transparency. Thanks to our modern fleet, we have a lower failure rate. Furthermore, we are not solely dependent on subcontractor capacity and can react quickly to changes. Customers benefit from clear lines of responsibility and consistent quality standards in day-to-day operations.

What drive technologies does GLOMB use?

We use diesel trucks that meet the Euro 6 standard and are suitable for operation with HVO. In addition, we use battery-electric tractors for local and regional transport, which are charged with green electricity. This combination enables us to reduce emissions whilst remaining flexible and offering CO2-neutral transport on many routes.
