In long-haul transport, GLOMB stands for Europe-wide container transport with the highest reliability. For over 45 years, we have been moving containers across Germany and beyond its borders. Domestic routes are just as much a part of our day-to-day business as cross-border transport throughout Europe. Our customers benefit from daily connections to the North Sea ports.

Our trucks are digitally connected and can be reached at any time via our fleet management system. Orders and status updates are transmitted in real time, enabling customers to track their shipments seamlessly. Interfaces with customer systems allow for smooth integration into existing processes.

Almost all our long-haul trucks are ADR-approved. Our drivers receive regular training. In addition to dangerous goods, we also transport temperature-controlled goods and specialise in delivering particularly urgent shipments on time. With a wide range of chassis – including refrigerated chassis with gensets, 45-foot trailers, and split and lightweight chassis – we offer the right solution for every transport requirement.

Which routes does GLOMB serve in long-haul container transport?

We connect the seaports of northern Germany with all major industrial centres in Germany and many locations across Europe. This includes, for example, routes to the Benelux countries, France, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. Depending on requirements, we arrange regular services or individual transport.
Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania are handled by our Eastern Europe department from the German seaports.

Does GLOMB offer one-way solutions for long-distance transport?

Yes, we use one-way solutions to reduce empty runs and utilise containers more efficiently. For example, a container unloaded domestically can be used directly for an export order. This intelligent management of full and empty movements saves costs and conserves resources.
